Soon to be famous...

I recently had the opportunity to work with this guy and I just have to tell you that I'm one lucky photographer.  I met his mom about two years ago at a Starbucks.  Yes, TWO YEARS AGO!  She kept my card all that time and when she called me to book a session I almost fell out of my chair because I was so excited for us to work together.  This kid is a photographer's dream!  He's sweet, adorable, incredibly polite, absolutely hilarious and so comfortable and cooperative in front of the camera.  (And Mom is totally laid back and fun which always makes for a great shoot.)  We did headshots as he's heading to LA this summer to tackle a few auditions.  Even though I know he's gonna be famous someday, this kid is already WAY COOL in my book!  Knock 'em dead in Cali, D...

Happy Father's Day!

This picture was actually taken a little over two years ago, but is still (and probably always will be) one of my favorite shots for many reasons.  (I love it to much that there's a 24x36 that hangs above our daughter's bed.)  I love it because the two people in it are mine, but mostly because to me this image is everything a daddy should be.  It's happiness, safety, security, comfort and love.  I grew up without a dad and always knew I wanted my children to have what I didn't. 

So, thank you to my wonderful husband, who is the most amazing father in the world, and to my grandpa who stepped up and did the job of being my dad.  And to all the other amazing dads out there, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Another Birthday Boy

You've seen this little dude on the blog before, but today is special.  Today is his first birthday and I got to spend a little time with him and his wonderful parents.  They're such a treat to work with and how could you not love those adorable cheeks!

It's been an incredible year getting to know this little guy and his fabulously cool parents.  They're so fun to work with, always up for my crazy ideas (as you can see from the photo above) and so in love with this little man of theirs.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OTTO!!!

I have to brag for a minute.  I have THE BEST CLIENTS a girl could ask for!  My sincere thank you to those clients and blog readers who reached out to me and sent their condolences on the loss of my grandpa.  Your friendship and support means so much to me.  Our family is doing well and we appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
